Cardinal George Holds First Public Mass Since Hospital Release

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Cardinal Francis George held Mass Sunday morning at Holy Name Cathedral in his first public appearance since being released from the hospital.

The 77-year-old was released from Loyola Medical Center on March 21 after being treated for dehydration and flu-like symptoms.

Cardinal George told reporters that, "I'm feeling good. I feel fine, but I am weak and I am always wobbly but I am more wobbly than usual."

Cardinal George, who is battling cancer in his right kidney, says he will resume chemotherapy when his doctors say he is ready. Meanwhile, he plans to resume his public and administrative schedule.
