Bulls' Derrick Rose Out Against Pacers With Hamstring Tendinitis

(CBS) Bulls point guard Derrick Rose was a late scratch for Wednesday night's home game against the Pacers with right hamstring tendinitis.

The team made the announcement about an hour before tip-off. It will be Rose's third missed game of the season. His previous absences were because of an ankle injury.

Rose is coming off a two-game stretch in which he scored 20 points in back-to-back regular-season games for the first time since last February.

Rose is averaging 14.4 points on 38.6 percent shooting.

In better news for the Bulls, wing Doug McDermott was expected to return to the rotation after sitting out Monday's game with a right knee strain, coach Fred Hoiberg said.
