Brandon Marshall Says Jets Will Be His Last Team, Takes Kyle Orton Over Jay Cutler
(CBS) Jets receiver Brandon Marshall said New York woill be the last stop of his NFL career and that the best quarterback he ever played with was Kyle Orton.
Marshall expressed these beliefs in answering questions from fans on Twitter on Thursday night. After being asked what team he will retire with, Marshall said, "If I'm cut tomorrow, I'll retire. This will be my last team."
Marshall spent his past three years with the Bears before he was traded to the Jets in March.
The response that will cause more discussion, of course, is Marshall choosing Orton as the best quarterback he ever played with. Marshall had the best season of his career with Jay Cutler in 2012, when he had 118 catches for 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns in 16 games.
Marshall and Orton played together in 2009 in Denver, where he had 101 catches for 1,120 yards and 10 touchdowns in 15 games.
