Boys, ages 14 and 16, shot on Chicago's Northwest Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Two teenage boys were shot and wounded in the Belmont Cragin neighborhood Friday evening.

At 5:09 p.m., the boys—ages 14 and 16—were standing on the sidewalk in the 5000 block of West Wrightwood Avenue when a vehicle pulled up, and someone inside shot them both.

The younger boy was shot in the hand and was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, while the older boy suffered a graze wound to the arm and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Both were in good condition.

No one was in custody late Friday. Grand Central Area detectives are investigating.
