Boy Riding ATV Discovers Body Rolled Up In Carpet In Gary
(CBS) -- A boy riding his ATV discovered a body rolled up in a carpet Wednesday afternoon in Gary.
It happened just off 22nd Avenue near Fairbanks Street, in Black Oak. The body was found at the bottom of the J-Pit. Police say the boy thought it was a deer.
The J-Pit is a former sandmine and because of the frozen ground and ice, investigators have not been able to get close to the scene. However, they do believe the death is suspicious.
