Boy, 16, Wounded In Shooting On Kennedy Expressway Ramp
(CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy was shot late Friday while he was in a vehicle on an exit ramp of the Kennedy Expressway in the Northwest Side Bucktown neighborhood.
WBBM's Mike Krauser reports the latest expressway shooting occurred on the Damen exit ramp. State Police say just after midnight, someone fired into a van, striking a boy inside.
The driver stopped nearby where police were called and an ambulance took away the boy, who was wounded in the arm.
This comes after State Police have increased patrols to prevent these kinds of incidents.
It is the 28th shooting on a Chicago expressway so far this year. No one has been killed so far.
