15-Year-Old Boy Shot To Death In West Pullman

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 15-year-old boy was killed Sunday afternoon in a West Pullman neighborhood shooting on the Far South Side.

The boy suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and under the arm about 3:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West 116th Street, police said.

He was taken in to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. His name was withheld Sunday evening pending notification of his family.

Area South detectives are conducting a homicide investigation.
