Boo At The Zoo Continues Next Weekend

(CBS) --  Brookfield Zoo Curator Tim Sullivan stopped by CBS 2 Chicago to talk with Marissa Bailey about its annual Boo at the Zoo event.

With him, he brought three friends, a Great Horned Owl, 5-foot look boa constrictor and a millipede.

New this year, Sullivan said youngsters can slither over to one of six stations for a Ferrara candy treat. The trick-or-treat stations feature Halloween-themed backdrops that make the perfect setting to snap a photograph of your visit to the zoo.

Zoogoers can also get into the Halloween spirit by learning about creepy critters like scorpions, bats, giant spiders and snakes during special Zoo Chats led by animal care staff.

Some animals will join in the fun time when they receive pumpkins as part of the zoo's enrichment program.

Other activities include a parade, haunted hayride, corn maze, Creepy Cowboy Carousel and craft activities.

Boo at the Zoo continues next weekend from Oct. 29-30. For more information about Brookfield Zoo's annual Boo at the Zoo event, visit the zoo website.
