Body Of Missing Libertyville Man Found Near Metra Tracks
(STMW) -- The body of a Libertyville man missing for more than three months was found in the northwest suburb on Friday, police said.
Daniel Nerstrom, 30, was first reported missing from his Libertyville home on Dec. 1, 2014, Libertyville police said in a statement.
About 10 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of a body lying along railroad tracks just east of the Libertyville Metra station, police said. The body was found about a quarter-mile east of the station.
Authorities later identified the body as Nerstrom's, police said. The Lake County coroner's office will determine a cause of death following an autopsy on an unspecified date, but police said that no foul play is suspected.
