Body Of Fourth Illinois Man Recovered From Wisconsin Lake
EAST TROY, Wis. (AP) -- The body of a fourth man who had been missing since a canoe incident last Sunday has been recovered from a southern Wisconsin lake.
Authorities say the body of 21-year-old Patrick Wetzel was pulled from Mill Lake on Friday. The bodies of three other men were found earlier this week. All of the men were from Illinois; each had attended New Trier High School in the northern suburbs of Chicago.
Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources recreational safety warden Jason Roberts says the investigation will continue. The DNR says the search for victims is over.
State officials say the four friends, ages 20 to 23, left a lake house where they were spending the weekend and apparently took a canoe out on the lake in the middle of the night.
The canoe was later spotted overturned in the lake, 35 miles southwest of Milwaukee.
