Blue Line Trains Running Again After Derailment At Pulaski

Updated 09/10/14 - 9:40 a.m.

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Service on the Forest Park branch of the CTA Blue Line has resumed, after a minor derailment halted trains at Pulaski for nearly two hours.

The incident was initially reported as a person struck by a train around 7:15 a.m., but CTA spokeswoman Tammy Chase said that wasn't the case, and the incident was only a minor derailment.

The Fire Department said there were no reports of any injuries.

While service was disrupted, the CTA ran shuttle buses and a shuttle train between the Cicero and Western stops on the Forest Park branch.

The CTA said service on the Blue Line resumed as normal around 9:15 a.m., although with residual delays.
