Blackhawks Twitter Account Mistakenly Sent Derogatory Tweet About Mexican President

(CBS) Autocorrect, autofill, auto-anything -- it all can be the worst, that's for sure.

Those monitoring the Chicago Blackhawks' Twitter account found out the hard way Sunday night.

In tweeting about the superb play of Patrick Sharp and Brandon Saad, the person running the Blackhawks' account tried to hashtag the message with #CHIvsLAK. But according to a screen grab from Deadspin, that hashtag wasn't correctly selected initially. Instead, a Spanish phrase that was probably an automatic prompt was tagged in the tweet, and its message was derogatory in nature and in reference to Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto and his mother.

The Blackhawks soon corrected the not-safe-for-to-type-here mistake, and the snafu again proves that even the best of us can fall prey to the dreaded autocorrect/autofill.
