Blackhawks Reassign Bryan Bickell To Rockford

(CBS) The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned forward Bryan Bickell to their AHL affiliate Rockford Icehogs on Sunday, after he cleared waivers.

The 29-year-old Bickell has no goals and two assists in 23 games this season with the Blackhawks, and it's his second assignment to Rockford this season. By sending Bickell down and keeping him there, the Blackhawks will save $950,00 in salary cap space, the Tribune reported.

Bickell has played 382 career regular-season games and 75 playoff games with the Blackhawks, registering 135 regular-season points and 39 postseason points. He was a member of the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup wins in 2010, 2013 and 2015.
