Blackhawks Goalie Crawford's Pads Still Missing
(CBS) Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford's preferred set of pads went missing Saturday after Chicago's win against Pittsburgh at Soldier Field, and he's miffed at how it happened.
"This is crazy," he tells reporters. "I've never seen this before. I've never heard of this before. It's crazy, man. The trainers are all stunned that it happened. Honestly, I told every guy and some of the guys didn't believe it happened."
Crawford wore blacks pads in Saturday's game, and it's his white set that has disappeared. He told the Tribune he believes surveillance footage will help discover the culprit if they were stolen, but he's still at a loss for words.
"Those are the ones I wear all the time — gone," Crawford said. "I was speechless."
