Blackhawks Activate Patrick Sharp, Send Joakim Nordstrom Down
(CBS) Already red-hot, the Blackhawks are getting one of their top offensive weapons back.
Chicago has activated winger Patrick Sharp ahead of tonight's contest at New Jersey, the team announced. In a corresponding move, the Blackhawks have sent forward Joakim Nordstrom to AHL Rockford.
Sharp hasn't played since suffering a lower-body injury in early November. He has nine points in 13 games this season. He led the Blackhawks with 78 points last season.
Sharp has been working on the third line in practice recently, as the top two lines have played well together as Chicago has won six straight games.
