Man Riding Divvy Bike Struck By Two Vehicles On Lake Shore Drive On North Side
(STMW) -- A man riding a Divvy bike on Lake Shore Drive was struck by two vehicles and critically injured early Saturday in the Lake View neighborhood on the North Side.
The 24-year-old man was struck by the vehicles about 2:50 a.m. on Lake Shore Drive near Belmont, police said.
The man was taken in critical condition to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, police said.
The drivers of both vehicles stayed at the scene, but no charges or citations have been issued, police said.
Police sources said alcohol may have played a role in the crash and that the man was riding a Divvy bike.
The police Major Accidents Investigation Unit is investigating.
