Bears Notes: Briggs, Fuller Practice In Limited Fashion
(CBS) Bears starting linebacker Lance Briggs and starting cornerback Kyle Fuller returned to practice Thursday, with each participating in a limited fashion.
Briggs has missed the past two games with a rib injury. Fuller suffered a right hip pointer and a broken right hand in Sunday's loss to the Dolphins, and coach Marc Trestman has said the hip injury is the one that worries the team most and will be hardest to deal with.
Neither Briggs nor Fuller had practiced Wednesday. Their status for Sunday's game at New England is still unclear, but Trestman liked what he saw from Fuller on Thursday.
"He worked today, he worked the entire day and got through it," Trestman said. "We'll talk to the trainers, but Kyle practiced the whole day today and moved around well."
Safety Danny McCray missed practice again Thursday as he fights a knee injury. Defensive end Jared Allen was held of because of a coaches' decision, and returner/receiver Chris Williams sat out because he was ill.
Other limited participants were tight end Martellus Bennett (hamstring), Jon Bostic (back) and Jordan Mills. Bennett has said he expects he'll be ready to play Sunday.
Safety Chris Conte was once again a full participant Thursday after missing last Sunday's game with a shoulder injury. He's left four of the six games he's played in this season with either shoulder or concussion problems.
