Bears Make Three Minor Roster Moves
(CBS) The Bears have terminated the contract of vested veteran cornerback Derrick Martin and waived tackle Rogers Gaines, the team announced Thursday afternoon.
The Bears also announced that they claimed tackle Michael Ola off waivers from the Dolphins, news that had earlier been reported. He played under coach Marc Trestman when both were in the CFL.
Martin was primarily a special teamer for the Bears, and he was released with a non-footbal injury designation after breaking his collar bone in a car wreck.
Gaines spent his entire 2013 rookie season on Chicago's practice squad. He was an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee State.
