Bank of America in Skokie robbed at gunpoint: Police
SKOKIE, Ill. (CBS) – Police are searching for two men in connection to a bank robbery in Skokie Saturday morning.
Officers were alerted to the robbery at the Bank of America, located at 3328 Touhy around 11:34 a.m.
Police said the men entered the bank displaying handguns. One of the suspects held the security officer at gunpoint while the other emptied out cash drawers.
They left the bank and were seen entering a white vehicle heading eastbound on Touhy.
The suspects are described as two black men with thin builds, one standing between 6 foot 2 and 6 foot 4 inches and was wearing an orange and black hoodie, orange and black gloves, dark pants, and a black ski mask. The second suspect is described as standing between 5 foot 6 inches and 5 foot 8 inches wearing a wheat-colored hoodie, dark pants, black gloves, and a black facemask.
The men left the scene prior to police arrival with an unknown amount of money.
No one inside the bank was injured.
