Ballet Chicago hosts open auditions for "Annie"
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Trying out for the hard knock life; auditions were held Saturday in Chicago for the musical "Annie."
The Broadway classic is going on a cross-country tour, and producers are looking for children to play the orphans.
Producers said 79 kids showed up for Saturday's auditions at Ballet Chicago, some even coming from out of state.
"Annie" is now playing at the Cadillac Palace Theatre through March 19.
The "Annie" tour runs until June 2024.
