Man Shot And Killed In Austin
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot to death early Wednesday in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side, police said.
The 32-year-old suffered multiple gunshot wounds about 1:45 a.m. in the 4900 block of West Madison, according to Chicago Police. Witnesses told investigators that another male walked up to the victim and opened fire, before running away.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.
His body could be seen lying on the ground outside a Whale Fish Shrimp & Chicken restaurant.
