Austin Beerworks 99-Pack: That's 99 Beers For $99
By John Dodge CHICAGO (CBS) -- 99 beers. 99 bucks.
Sadly, it's only in Texas, where, as we all know, everything is bigger.
The Chicago area has become a hotbed for craft brews, so fans locally can only hope somebody here copies the idea.
Austin Beerworks is selling a 99 pack of its newly launched Peacemaker Anytime Ale.
The 99-pack will be available for a limited time at select locations around Austin.
The deliveries this past weekend sold out. However, if you have a buddy in Austin, you can follow the company on Facebook or Twitter for future sale locations
Texas law prohibits Austin Beerworks from shipping their products to customers, so Chicagoans can't order online.
The case holding the 99 cans of beer is about seven feet long and weighs 82 pounds.
You would need a friend to help lift it, and probably several friends to help drink it.
We challenge Chicago breweries to at least match the offer.
Perhaps a 312 Pack?!
