Man Stabbed, Girl Cut During Auburn Gresham Fight

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was stabbed and a girl suffered a laceration during a fight with another man early Wednesday in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 2 a.m., the 18-year-old man and 16-year-old girl got into a fight with another 18-year-old man in the 8800 block of South Emerald, who pulled out a knife, according to Chicago Police.

The man was stabbed in the neck and taken in critical condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. The girl suffered a laceration to the right shoulder and was taken in good condition to Roseland Community Hospital.

It was not immediately known whether anyone was taken into custody early Wednesday as Area South detectives investigate.
