Attempted Child Luring Reported In Albany Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man tried to lure a high school student into his SUV on Tuesday in the Albany Park neighborhood.
Police said the Roosevelt High School student was walking home from school Tuesday evening in the 4500 block of North St. Louis Avenue when a man driving a white Jeep pulled up alongside her and began honking his horn.
The man motioned for her to come over, and she ignored him, but he continued following her for a full block until they got to Montrose Avenue, where she ducked into a store and called 911.
The man stayed in his vehicle outside the store for several minutes before eventually driving away.
Police had only a vague description of the suspect. Anyone with information on the man should call Chicago police at 312-744-8200.
