At least 8 cars broken into on Chicago's Northwest Side

CHICAGO (CBS) — At least eight cars were broken into in Chicago's Dunning neighborhood early Tuesday morning.

Around 1:45 a.m., police said a man broke into the driver's side and passenger's side windows of the cars parked between the 3600 and 3800 blocks of North Nordica Avenue.

Surveillance video shows one of the thieves climbing through a car window. Two people were seen smashing the windows while a third person drove a dark-colored car.

Police said so far, only one vehicle owner reported property stolen.

One of the car owners said she is sad to see the work her neighbors will now have to put in to fix their vehicles.

"All of the problems right now, everybody have work and school, everything, all of the hassle of going through the claim department and waiting for backorder parts." Aneta Fusiarz said. "It's very frustrating."

The suspect got away in a dark-colored sedan.

No arrests have been made.
