One dead, two hurt in shooting on Chicago's West Side

CHICAGO (CBS)-- One person died, and two others were wounded in East Garfield Park Wednesday morning. 

According to police, the three victims were inside a car when shots were fired from another vehicle on Kedzie Avenue at Walnut Street. The victims drove off northbound and crashed in the 300 block of North Kedzie Avenue. 

There was a brown sedan with several bullet holes that crashed into a tree on the scene. 

A 40-year-old man was shot throughout the body and pronounced dead on the scene. 

A 28-year-old man was taken to Sinai Hospital in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds. A 56-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital for observation.
