Armed Robbery Turns Deadly In Englewood

(STMW) -- A man died after he was shot during a robbery Friday afternoon in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 24-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen at 1:51 p.m. in the 7300 block of South Lowe, according to Chicago Police. He was outside when he was approached by two people who demanded his property and was shot.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 4:30 p.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office. His name was not released Friday.
