After a couple of nice, sunny days in Chicago, temps expected to rise later this week

A little warmer on Wednesday

CHICAGO (CBS) —  Conditions are expected to be mostly clear tonight with lows in the mid 50s in Chicago, but mid to upper 40s in the suburbs.

There will be sunny skies and very nice conditions for Wednesday, with highs warming into the low 80s. Upper 70s are expected along the lakeshore.

Turning much warmer for Thursday with highs near 90 degrees and a touch more humid. A cold front arrives Thursday night, allowing for chances of showers and storms. Lingering showers and cooler temperatures are expected for Friday with highs in the low 70s and gusty north winds. It remains windy on Saturday, but a secondary push of cool air will keep us in the mid 60s. Breezy and low 70s for Sunday.

Gusty winds will make for dangerous boating and swimming conditions over Lake Michigan starting Friday, and lasting through the end of the weekend.
