A man who admitted to possessing child pornography has been sentenced to 10 years in Illinois state prison.

Andrew Wiley, 50, pleaded guilty last week and has been in custody since his arrest in March 2023, according to a news release from the Kendall County state's attorney.

Wiley was arrested initially when child pornography was found on his work computer in Cook County.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at his home in Montgomery and found "numerous items of child pornography ... in and outside of the residence, including some which were buried on the property," according to the news release.

Wiley will have to register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life and will be subject to three years to life on mandatory supervised release upon completing his 10-year prison sentence.
