Amtrak Train Fatally Strikes Pedestrian In Northbrook; Metra Milwaukee North Line Affected

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Amtrak and Metra delays are expected after a pedestrian was fatally struck by an Amtrak train in Northbrook Wednesday.

Milwaukee North Line Metra train #2127 scheduled to arrive in Deerfield at 5:10 p.m. will not operate past Northbrook.

According to Amtrak officials, the pedestrian was trespassing on the tracks at the time of the incident.

No one on Hiawatha Service Train 335 to Milwaukee was hurt.

Amtrak officials said the train was stopped for two hours, but is now back in service.
