Amazon Shows Off Its Loop Office, Soon To Expand

(CBS) -- Amazon is doubling down on its future in Chicago and doubling the size of its corporate office in the Loop.
The online retail giant held a grand opening for its new workspace Monday.
The office at Monroe and Franklin is currently home to more than 200 employees, and that number is expected to grow.
Officials say there could be 8,000 full-time Amazon employees by 2018 across Illinois. The online retailer has opened "fulfillment centers" in the Chicago suburbs.
