After The Bell: Gas Prices Rising Again, For Now
(CBS) -- Gas prices in the Chicago area are on the rise, up 7 percent in the past week, as local refineries deal with production issues.
"Several Illinois refineries have experienced kinks in production or are under regular maintenance, and it's contributing to a big price spike in the Chicago area" says Patrick DeHaan, senior petroleum analyst at GasBuddy.com.
He also noted that prices, after these temporary issues are resolved, should start heading lower.
