3 Hurt In Orland Park Head-On Crash

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three people were injured in a head-on crash early Saturday in southwest suburban Orland Park.

The "high speed head-on crash" involving a car and a pickup truck occurred about 12:35 a.m. in a construction zone in the 10400 block of 159th Street, according to a statement from the Orland Fire Protection District. A woman in her early 20s was pinned inside the car after the crash and a male and female who were in the truck were also injured.

It took about 15 minutes for crews to extricate the woman from the car, fire officials said. All three people were taken to Silver Cross Hospital to be treated for trauma.
