3.1 magnitude earthquake confirmed in southern Illinois

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A 3.1 magnitude earthquake was reported near Waltonville, Illinois Sunday night, according to USGS. 

The earthquake took place around 10:10 p.m.

Waltonville, Illinois is southeast of St. Louis and over 4 hours away from Chicago.
