Chicago Shooting: 2-year-old girl shot on South Side

CHICAGO (CBS) – A 2-year-old girl was shot on Chicago's South Side Monday night.

The girl was inside an apartment in the 7900 block of South Phillips around 7:40 p.m. when she was shot in the right hand, according to Chicago police.

She was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.

Police recovered a gun at the scene of the shooting.

One person of interest was being questioned about the incident.

Area 2 detectives are investigating.
