2 women in critical condition after shooting in West Rogers Park

CHICAGO (CBS)-- Two women are in critical condition after being shot while sitting in a car in West Rogers Park.

According to police, the women were inside a car on Bell Avenue near Devon Avenue around 10 p.m. when shots were fired. 

One woman was hit in the neck and the other was shot in the face. Both were taken to AMITA Health St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.

"I heard four gunshots," A woman who lives in a neighboring building said. She said she is scared to walk outside at night. 

She said after hearing the shots, she looked our the window and saw a person running away. 

"It was a small guy and it looked like he had a dog running after him," she said. 

No arrests have been made.
