1 killed, 1 wounded in shooting in Chicago's Garfield Park
CHICAGO (CBS) -- One man was killed and another was wounded late Friday in the middle of Garfield Park on the city's West Side.
At 5:24 p.m., the two men were in a vehicle in the 3500 block of West Schraeder Drive in the park when they were both shot.
One man, 36, was shot in the thigh and hand and was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in serious condition. The other died of his wounds – police were not sure if he died at the scene or a hospital.
A third person was injured by flying glass in the incident.
No one was in custody late Friday. Area 1 detectives are investigating.
