16-year-old boy shot, wounded in north Chicago suburbs

SKOKIE, Ill. (CBS) -- A 16-year-old boy was recovering Sunday night after he was shot in north suburban Skokie.

At 9:03 p.m. Saturday, Skokie police officers were called for a person shot at Keating Avenue and Davis Street.

They found the teen, who had suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to an area hospital. Police did not specify the boy's condition, but said he was stabilized.

Police do not believe the shooting was a random act. Additional details will be released as the investigation permits, police said.
