108 Free Hot Dogs At The Wiener's Circle After L.A. Wager

CHICAGO (CBS) -- For a true Chicagoan, nothing is better than hot dogs and baseball.

And after a friendly Twitter debate and the Cubs defeating the Dodgers, Chicagoans will get just that.

Pink's Hot Dogs in L.A. will pay for The Wiener's Circle in Lincoln Park to giveaway Tuesday, Oct. 25 free Chicago-style hot dogs to the first 108 customers, resembling the number of years since the Cubs have won the World Series.

Pink's Hot Dogs will also be donating $1,908, again marking the No. 108, to Cubs Manager Joe Maddon's charity, Respect 90 Foundation.

The debate started after The Wiener's Circle put up a sign outside the establishment reading, "Hey LA! Pink's Stinks." The friendly exchange of comments moved to Twitter.

The Wiener's Circle started by attacking Pink's Hot Dog's toppings.

After the back and forth chatter, the two hot dog stands made a wager.

If Cubs win, Pink's Hot Dogs will buy Wiener's Circle Chicago Dogs for their first 108, marking the number of years since the Cubs won the World Series, people in line on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 at 10:30am which is the first day of the World Series in Cleveland. Pink's will also donate $1908, marking the last year Cubs won the World Series, to the charity of Wiener's Circle's choice.

If Dodgers win, Wiener's Circle will buy a Pink's Chili Cheese Dog for one hour, for everyone in line, at Pink's Hot Dogs on La Brea, on Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 beginning at 10:30am. Wiener's Circle will also donate their two best hours of sales to Pink's Hot Dogs' chosen charity.

And we all know the outcome of the NLCS series, Cubs beat the Dodgers in Game 6 leading to free hot dogs on Tuesday to the first 108 customers.

Pink's released an announcement stating free hot dogs would be available to the first 108 customers standing in line at The Wiener's Circle, 2622 N. Clark St., at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, which also marks Game One of the World Series.

The Cubs play in Cleveland on Tuesday for Game One of the World Series. The game begins at 7:08 p.m.
