1 Killed, 1 Wounded In Bronzeville Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed and another wounded in an exchange of gunfire Thursday morning in the Bronzeville neighborhood on the South Side.

Two men exchanged gunfire during an argument in the 4700 block of South King Drive at 5:10 a.m., according to preliminary information from Chicago Police.

A 39-year-old man was shot in the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office confirmed the death but did not immediately provide additional details.

The other man, 52, was shot in the knee and shin, and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition, police said.
