1 Dead, Trooper Injured In Crash On I-57 At 147th Street

CHICAGO (CBS)-- One person died and an Illinois State trooper was injured in a multiple vehicle crash on the I-57.

The incident took place in the northbound lanes at 147th Street. The left two northbound lanes are still shut down.
Officials said the trooper was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One person in the other vehicle involved in the crash was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The crash is under investigation.
