Zolak: Tom Brady Doesn't Like Peyton Manning

The longstanding rivalry between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning has gone on for more than a decade, but it's one that has pretty much stayed far, far away from trash talk between the two main characters. You could even stretch that to the three main characters if you can include Bill Belichick, the Patriots head coach who has never uttered a single word about Manning that was not done in praise.

Whenever Brady talks about Manning and vice versa, there's always an obvious, deep mutual respect coming from one great quarterback to another.

But Scott Zolak thinks it's all for show.

"I'm going to put this out there, and I have no problem doing it," Zolak said during Thursday's show. "I think when we talk about rivalries, I think there needs to be some hatred there. When they talk about each other, I think there's mutual respect. I think Brady's very guarded when he talks about Manning and when Manning's name comes up."

"I just don't think Brady flat-out likes Manning."

Andy Gresh and NFL Network's Albert Breer pushed back a little, saying that would certainly represent new information.

"It's cordial," Zolak said. "It's not detest, but I think Tom's very, I don't want to say irked, bugged, when the Manning topic comes up, him vs. Manning," Zolak said. "Manning's been handed it from day one, it's a silver spoon thing wherever he's been. And I think Brady's fight to get where he is, I think he remembers that, I think he reflects upon that, I think he thinks he's had to get through more to get there and even be in the discussion.

"I don't think he likes him."
