Worcester Man Shot Dead In Neighbor Dispute, Police Say

WORCESTER (CBS) -- A Worcester man was shot dead following an apparent dispute with a neighbor, according to police.

Police responded to Hamilton Street shortly before 6pm on Monday and found 24-year-old Carlos Maldonado lying in the front lawn suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he died.

Witnesses pointed police to the back of a nearby building where they found the suspect, 42-year-old Jacinto Maldonado. Police say he was lying chest down on the ground with his arms apart waiting for them.

Investigators say the two were involved in a neighbor dispute which led to the shooting. The two men are not related.
