Woodstock Co-Creator Working On 50th Anniversary Concert

BOSTON (CBS) -- Plans are in the works for a 50th anniversary Woodstock concert, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

One of the original organizers, Michael Lang, told the New York newspaper he's been talking with potential partners for the concert.

The site of the concert has yet to be determined.

Lang said he foresees an annual festival staged in the Woodstock name.

The original Woodstock in 1969 drew hundreds of thousands to a field in upstate New York. It's now the site of a performing arts pavilion.

It's unclear who would perform at the anniversary concert.

By 2019, many of the performers at the original Woodstock would be in their 70s and 80s, while other notable musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Joe Cocker have passed away.
