Woman Hit By Car After Escaping Northbridge House Fire

NORTHBRIDGE (CBS) – A woman was hurt after escaping a house fire in Northbridge early Friday morning.

Firefighters were called to a home on Tracy Drive just after 4 a.m. and they found heavy flames in the back of the house.

There were 7 adults inside, according to Northridge Fire Chief Gary Nestor, and everyone escaped safely.

But one woman was hurt moments later.

"She was struck by a motor vehicle as they were trying to move the vehicles out," Nestor told WBZ-TV.

The chief said the woman's injuries are minor.

There's no word yet on what caused the fire.

Nestor said it does not appear to be suspicious.
