Husband And Wife Killed In Woburn Small Plane Crash

WOBURN (CBS) – A husband and wife died in a small plane crash in Woburn on Saturday.

Hyden Meiler, a veteran Army combat medic, heard the crash and ran over with his medical gear.

"When I got on scene, all I could see was pieces of an airplane. There was nothing left of it. It came down pretty hard," Meiler said.

The Columbia aircraft LC41 crashed in a wooded area near Minchin Drive on Saturday just after 11 a.m. The plane was four miles from Hanscom Field in Bedford.

The two people who were on board died. They have been identified as Dr. Michael Graver and his wife, Jodi Cohen.

No one on the ground was injured.

Graver, who was described as an experienced pilot, worked as a doctor for more than 30 years.

He was chief of adult cardiothoracic surgery for Northwell Health in Manhasset, New York.
