Missing 14-Year-Old Girl Found Safe In Winthrop
WINTHROP (CBS) – A 14-year-old girl who was reported missing Tuesday morning has been found safe.
Police say Mackenzie McGrath was found unharmed in Winthrop after a search that included a K-9 team, State Police, the Winthrop Harbormaster and the U.S. Coast Guard.
Police had reason to believe she left home in the early morning hours Tuesday and was in danger.
"Based on investigative records, we feel that any child aged 14 that's not at home or in school is endangered," Winthrop Police Chief Terence Delehanty said during the search.
Winthrop Police are providing services to her family.
