Powerball $1.765 billion winning ticket sold in California, two $50,000 winners in Massachusetts
BOSTON - Powerball finally has a winner!
There was one winning ticket in Wednesday night's drawing, which was worth $1.765 billion. That's the second-biggest jackpot in U.S. lottery history.
It was sold at Midway Market & Liquor in Frazier Park, California, which is about 75 miles north of Los Angeles.
The winning numbers drawn Wednesday, October 11, 2023 were 22-24-40-52-64 with a PowerBall of 10.
The chances of winning the jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
There were two smaller prize winners in Massachusetts.
Tickets worth $50,000 each were sold at Waltham Fuel in Waltham and Manomet Liquors in Plymouth, according to the state lottery.
