Window washer falls to death outside Boston skyscraper at 100 Summer Street

BOSTON - A window washer died in a fall from a skyscraper in Boston early Monday morning. It happened just before 8 a.m. at 100 Summer Street, a 32-story office tower in the financial district.

The District Attorney identified the window washer as 40-year-old Nicholas Marks of East Weymouth.

A spokesperson for 100 Summer Street later said the person was a "window cleaning service provider."  

"We are deeply saddened by this incident, and our thoughts and prayers are with the individual's family and loved ones. We are actively supporting the local authorities in their investigation of the incident, which remains ongoing," the spokesperson told WBZ in an email.

Federal safety officials are investigating the incident. No other information is available at this point.
