A 1986 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup ring and a rat-shaped mug are included in the long list of items that will be sold on Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. in an auction that features online simulcast bidding.
The items belonged to Bulger and his girlfriend, Catherine Greig.
Proceeds from the auction, which is run by Gaston & Sheehan Auctioneers, will be divided among the families of several people killed by Bulger and his associates. Money will also be given to several people the United States District Court found Bulger extorted.
"We're hoping to generate hundreds of thousands of dollars, it'd be great to raise $1 million," U.S. Attorney Carmen Ortiz said.
